  • Every now and then people ask us for a quiet table. Sorry, we have NO quiet tables. The facility is not designed for sullen dining. We play music, we encourage our diners to enjoy themselves. We have many parties of 6 – 10 that get loud and we like it that way! If you need or want a “quiet table” may we suggest one of the many stuffy fine dining venues in the area.

  • No Dress Code

  • No Expensive Alcoholic Drinks – BYOB only

  • There is NO dress code at Za Restaurant. There never has been and there never will be. We serve comfort food and we want people to be comfortable while they are dining with us. So, feel free to come dressed in anyway you feel comfortable.

    Our food prices are a great value for the quality of fresh, made from scratch food we offer and we don’t make it up by selling expensive liquor. By New Jersey law you may bring beer, wine or sparkling wine. There is no corkage fee. We can provide champagne flutes, a cabernet style wine glass suitable for both whites and reds, and dessert wine glasses. Bottle filter spouts are available for wines that would otherwise be decanted.

    Outside soft drinks are not allowed. Please see our beverage menu for available soft drinks.

  • No Cell Phone Restrictions

  • Come and feel free to use your cell phone, your iPad, your laptop. We are not a quiet place to dine, we are an eatery, a social gathering, a place to meet and do business, and a place to laugh and relax. We will defend your right to talk.

  • No reservations? No problem!

    Reservations are not necessary. We have expanded to seat 76 inside and 48 in our weather permitting Wisteria Garden.

    If you must have a reservation you will need to make it at least 1 day in advance.

    Reservations are recommended for groups, meet-ups and parties of 7 or more.

  • No Charge for WiFi for our Guests

  • Please, bring your mobile device and use it. We will provide you with the PW for our guest WiFi network when you get here.

  • You pick the Music. Yes, really.

  • You, me and everyone else has some idea of the type of music we would most like to hear when eating out, and that’s a problem since we seldom agree on the most appropriate score. Enter Rockbot and your smart mobile device. Now, at Za Restaurant, he who pays the piper calls the tune. You pick the music from a library of over 3 million recorded tracks. NO MORE COMPLAINING about the music. It’s up to you!

  • Accepted Payments

    We accept all major credit cards.

    Credit cards can add an additional 5.5% to the cost of providing your meal, so we kindly suggest you help us keep prices down by using some other form of payment.

    We encourage the use of debit cards, personal and business checks and, of course, cash.

    We are unable to accept bank issued gift cards or travelers checks due to difficulties in processing and redeeming these types of payment.

  • No Outside Food

  • Sorry, no outside food allowed. We can only stay in business by selling food and food is all we have to sell. If you are celebrating a birthday, we provide a FREE ceremonial ice cream birthday cake that serves 4. We can order you a birthday cake if you will give us 48 hours and our prices are very reasonable for any kind of cake you want. If you insist on bringing your own cake, or whatever, we charge a $4 per person plating fee. Thanks for understanding.
